How Sculptra Works

1. Injection: Sculptra is injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous layer of the skin.

 2. Collagen Stimulation:  PLLA particles stimulate the body’s natural collagen production over time.

3. Gradual Improvement: As new collagen forms, it helps restore facial volume, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

Treatment Process

Sessions: Typically, patients need a series of two  injections over a few months.
Duration:  Each treatment session can take about 30-45 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.
Results: Improvements appear gradually over a few months and can last up to two years.

Uses

Facial Volume Loss: Commonly in the cheeks, temples, and jawline.

Nasolabial Folds: Reducing the appearance of deep folds between the nose and mouth.

Other Facial Wrinkles: 

Addressing other areas with significant volume loss.

Side Effects & Considerations

Common side effects include redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, and small lumps under the skin. These typically resolve on their own.  Rare side effects include the formation of granulomas or small, hard nodules.

Not for Immediate Results:

Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra works gradually
